After using only 6 of these my ice maker now won’t dump.Research indicates the water filter is allowing minerals to stay in the water. I used this filter for my LG refrigerator. Installing it was easy. When installed, you must let the water run for a bit and disposed of it as the water has a weird taste at first. But after you let it run for a bit, the water taste fresh! Since the filter has to be changed every six months, this is a great value for the money.

Bought this, after about 2 weeks, the water started tasting stale. I replace it with a fresh one form the 3-pack. After another 2-3 weeks, same thing. Water has an old, stale taste to it.

Normally the old filter pops out and the new filter pops in. When I installed one of these filters, it was difficult to get it in and seated properly. Just to test if the socket was broken, I plugged the old filter in and it fit perfectly right away. Eventually I was able to get the new filter in properly, but it wasn’t as easy as other filters.

This product fit well in our LG refrigerator–no leaks and it snapped right in. Unfortunately, there is a big difference in taste between the manufacturer’s filter and this one. We are not terribly fussy about our water, but we have both noticed the water doesn’t taste as good. We got the 3 pack, but won’t be using the rest. It was worth a try, but we are back to the more expensive LG brand.

We bought a new fridge when the water filter needed to be changed we look at Home Depot they were 50$ for one filter. After doing some research this filter is what we choose to buy it’s a great mix of a quality product and great value. We installed the filter and within a couple minutes we had clean fresh water. I would recommend running a couple cups of water threw in order to prime the filter.

Just received this product on Saturday 06/02, and so far I’m impressed with the ease of installation and fit. We drained a couple of gallons of water before we started using the water for drinking, and there are no foul or weird flavors, just nice fresh water. There is always suspicion when you see a good deal, but with this one I’m definitely happy to have taken the risk, so far very good product.
